Working principle
Under the inside of the boom is a rolling drum, which is wound with a wire rope, which pulls the previous boom out through a pulley at the top of the next boom, and so on. When retracting, the reel reverses to recover the wire rope, and the lifting arm retracts under the action of self-weight.
